Mallard Lake

Mallard Lake’s inviting waters welcome you the moment you pass through the gates at The Resort at Glade Springs to begin your family vacation. Children will delight in watching the antics of the ducks and Canadian geese, and you just might spot a family of deer coming down to the banks for a cool drink. Mallard Lake is a great fishing area – you can cast a line in from the grassy shore, or try your luck from a canoe or kayak. Your family will enjoy a leisurely boat ride, while taking in the beautiful West Virginia scenery. Canoes, kayaks and paddle boards are available for rent from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

A family vacation in West Virginia isn’t complete without a little fun on the water! Come spend a relaxing afternoon or evening at Mallard Lake, where you’ll be surprised and delighted with all there is to do and see! Boats and fishing pole rental reservations may be booked up to 24 hours in advance. Any rentals within 24 hours can be requested through the Leisure Center, on a first come, first serve basis.  Guests under 17 years must be accompanied by an adult of 18 years or older.
