The Equestrian Center at Glade Springs is a premier horseback riding facility in West Virginia providing family fun year round.

Ride along miles of marked trails that meander along mountain streams and over the hills of the resort's 4,100 acres.

You might choose a romantic carriage ride for two. Or perhaps the whole family will enjoy pony rides, especially popular with our younger guests. Riding lessons are available by appointment.

The Equestrian Center offers packaged group activities that include horseback riding and trail rides. The friendly folks at The Equestrian Center will gladly work to provide you with a truly unique outdoor experience.

Gold Spur Trails

More experienced trail riders may select one of our Gold Spur trail rides that take you to the majestic Glade Creek. Available June through November. Riders must be taller than 52" and at least 15 years old. Maximum weight for riders is 240 pounds.

1 1/2 Hour Guided Trail Ride - $85 per person
2 Hour Guided Trail Ride - $100 per person
3 Hour Guided Trail Ride - $150 per person (available upon request)

Silver Spur Trails

Enjoy the wooded countryside on these trails that are great for all levels of riders, including beginners. Riders must be taller than 52" and at least 9 years old. Maximum weight for riders is 240 pounds.

Available November through April
½ Hour Guided Trail Ride - $30 per person

Available Year Round
1 Hour Guided Trail Ride - $55 per person
1½ Hour Guided Trail ride - $70 per person

Hand Led Horse Rides

For are young equine enthusiasts we offer a 10 minute hand-led horse ride. Children must be at least three years of age and where a helmet. The ride tours the barn and facilities. This is a great way to introduce young riders to the equestrian world. $10   

Lessons

Our Equestrian Center’s main focus is safety.  Our goal is to teach riders of all ages how to properly manage and control a horse.  We offer a 30 minute private basic lesson to get you started.  We also recommend that our riders who have no, or limited, experience take advantage of the lessons before experiencing a trail ride.  Available upon request.  Please call to schedule your lesson.

1 Hour Lesson (Experienced Riders) - $80

Carriage Rides

Come and relax at the Equestrian Center with a carriage ride.  Our carriage can seat four adults comfortably.  This is a fun activity for the entire family no matter what age you are.  We also offer private carriages for weddings, anniversaries, or any special occasion.
