The Equestrian Center at Glade Springs is a premier horseback riding facility in West Virginia providing family fun year round.

An equestrian vacation at The Resort at Glade Springs can be a great experience, whether you're an accomplished horseback rider or just starting out!

Ride along miles of marked trails that meander along mountain streams and over the hills of the resort's 4,100 acres.

You might choose a romantic carriage ride for two. Or perhaps the whole family will enjoy pony rides, especially popular with our younger guests. Riding lessons are available by appointment.

The Equestrian Center offers packaged group activities that include horseback riding and trail rides. The friendly folks at The Equestrian Center will gladly work to provide you with a truly unique outdoor experience.

1-hour Trail Ride

The Glade Springs Equestrian Center welcomes you to saddle up on a one hour trail ride. We will ride on a wooded trail enjoying the flora and fauna of West Virginia.  Trail rides are available for $55 per person on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Hand Led Horse Rides

For are young equine enthusiasts we offer a 15 minute hand-led horse ride. Children must be at least three years of age and where a helmet. Children must be a minimum of three years old.  $20   

30 Minute Lesson

Both young and young at heart should join the Equestrian Center staff for a 30-minute lesson. You will learn safety, balance, and direction. Teaching you safety around a horse is our main goal. You will have fun learning. We offer the 30 minute lessons for $45.  If you want to expand your learning you can buy our value package at $180 for 5 lessons.  We accept riders from seven years and up.

Carriage Rides

Make any occasion a special one with our Amish-crafted vis-a-vis carriage, with hand stitched velvet interior and gleaming brass lanterns. The carriage seats four adults and two children comfortably. $160 per hour (minimum 2 people, maximum 6)

Riders must sign a liability release. Any rider under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign a release for them.  Riders must be at least 9 years of age and 52 inches tall. Minors are required to wear helmets which are provided. It is recommended that adults wear helmets as well.
