Rock Climbing & Rappelling

The challenging nature of this sport is only comparable to the unspeakable view from the top.

You will see all of the beauty of the New River Gorge from an angle you cannot achieve any other way. There is a real sense of accomplishment to conquering some of the most rugged mountain terrain available. You will see why Southern West Virginia is a destination for even the most experienced mountain climbers.

If you have an adventurous heart but no experience, fear not, we also provide a guide who can instruct you, as well as safety equipment for your climb.

If you are ready for a day filled with breathtaking views, mental and physical challenges and a real taste of nature at it's most impressive then rock climbing and rappelling are calling you.

Learn how to climb or rappel with expert instruction on some of the most engaging rock cliffs in the country. With 1000's of routes ranging from beginner to advanced, there is a perfect spot for anyone to get vertical.  The programs are geared to make you succeed.  We take care of all the rigging and any technical aspects on these recreational climbs.  This is a guided activity where up to four guests will be assigned to one guide.  Essential gear and helmets are provided.

Transportation is available to and from Adventures on the Gorge for all climbing and rappelling excursions for an additional fee.
