Whitewater Rafting

New River

The Resort at Glade Springs is the ideal location for an unforgettable New River whitewater rafting adventure.

Southern West Virginia is home to some of the best whitewater rafting in the country. The New River runs along the basin of West Virginia's famous New River Gorge and is home to unparalleled mountain views, and also home to two completely different full day white water experiences.

Our whitewater rafting season starts as early in the year as March, and continues through Bridge Day in mid-October.

We feature full day trips on both the Upper and Lower sections of the famous New River, each are unique in the level of excitement but equal in their beauty and "togetherness" time for your group.

The Upper New River is truly a beginner's level rafting experience. Children as young as 6 years of age can participate in the excitement of whitewater rafting on this area of the river. The Lower New River provides a much more adventurous day on the rapids perfect for teens and adults.

No matter which piece of the New River you select to travel you will find an adventure that will not soon be forgotten. Neither trip requires prior rafting experience.

Whitewater rafting packages are available at our resort near the New River that combine your overnight accommodations and rafting trips along with transportation to and from the river.

A stay at The Resort at Glade Springs in combination with a day on the New River offers many rewards for the body and soul.
